Refund, Cancellation, and Subscription Terms

These Refund, Cancellation, and Subscription Terms (this “Policy”) describe how payments, refunds, cancellations, and any automatically renewing plans work on the EquiAssist website at equiassist.com (the “Service”), operated by EquiAssist LLC, an Alabama limited liability company (“EquiAssist,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Policy supplements, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Use. If there is any conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Use regarding fees, this Policy controls.

1. Paid Features and Billing

Certain features, such as job postings and any upgrades or featured placements, require payment. The price, billing frequency, and the duration a listing remains active are presented to you at checkout before you purchase. Payments are processed by our third party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. By completing a purchase, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your selected payment method for the amounts and at the intervals shown at checkout, plus any applicable taxes.

2. When a Purchase Is Delivered

A job posting and other digital features are delivered when the listing or feature becomes available on the Service. Because these are digital services that are made available immediately and for a set period, they are treated as delivered and used as they run, which affects refund eligibility as described below.

3. Refunds: General Rule

All fees are non refundable once the related listing or feature has been published or otherwise made available, except as expressly stated in Section 4 or as required by applicable law. Removing or closing a listing before the end of its paid period does not entitle you to a refund or credit for the unused time, except as required by law.

4. Limited Exceptions

We will issue a refund or, at our option, a credit in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate or erroneous charges. If you were charged more than once for the same purchase, or charged in error, we will refund the duplicate or erroneous amount.
  • Service failure on our side. If you paid for a listing or feature that never became available because of a technical error attributable to us, and we are unable to promptly publish it or provide an equivalent remedy, we will refund the amount paid for that listing or feature.
  • Where required by law. We will provide any refund or cancellation right required by applicable law, including any statutory cancellation right for automatically renewing plans described in Section 7.

How to request. To request a refund under this Section, email support@equiassist.com within thirty (30) days of the charge, with your account email and the transaction details. We aim to respond within a reasonable time and will process approved refunds to the original payment method.

5. Cancellation by You

You may remove or close an active listing at any time through your account or by contacting support@equiassist.com. For one time purchases, removing a listing early ends its display but does not generate a refund of the remaining paid period, except as stated in Section 4. If you purchased an automatically renewing plan, see Section 7 for how to cancel future renewals.

6. Removal or Cancellation by Us

We may remove a listing, suspend a feature, or terminate access if a listing or your use of the Service violates our Terms of Use or applicable law, or to address fraud, security, or legal risk. Removal for a violation is not eligible for a refund. If we discontinue a paid feature you have already purchased for reasons not caused by your violation, we will provide a pro rata refund or credit for the affected unused period.

7. Subscription and Automatic Renewal Terms

This Section applies only if you purchase a plan that renews automatically. Whether a purchase is one time or recurring is disclosed to you at checkout.

Automatic renewal and ongoing charges. If you enroll in a plan that renews automatically, the plan will continue and automatically renew for successive periods of the length shown at checkout (for example, monthly or annually) until you cancel. At each renewal, we will charge the then current price and billing frequency disclosed to you, through your payment method on file with Stripe, until you cancel.

Your consent. Before you are charged for a recurring plan, we present the automatic renewal terms, including the recurring price, the billing frequency, and how to cancel, in a clear and conspicuous manner, and we obtain your affirmative consent to those terms. After you enroll, we provide an acknowledgment that includes the automatic renewal terms, the cancellation policy, and instructions for how to cancel, in a form you can keep.

How to cancel. You may cancel a recurring plan at any time through your account settings on the Service, or by emailing support@equiassist.com. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You will continue to have access to the paid features through the end of the period for which you have already paid, and, except as required by law, we do not provide partial period refunds for the current term.

Free trials and introductory offers. If we offer a free trial or introductory rate, the terms, including the date the trial or introductory rate ends and the price you will be charged afterward, are disclosed before you enroll. Unless you cancel before the trial or introductory period ends, your plan will automatically convert to a paid plan and you will be charged the disclosed price. Where required by law, we will send a reminder before a free trial converts to a paid subscription.

Renewal and change notices. Where required by applicable law, we will notify you in advance of an upcoming renewal, a material change to the automatic renewal terms, or a price increase, and we will obtain any further consent the law requires.

State automatic renewal laws. We provide the disclosures, consent, acknowledgment, cancellation methods, and notices required by automatic renewal laws, including the California Automatic Renewal Law and comparable laws in other states. Nothing in this Policy limits any non waivable cancellation or refund right those laws give you.

8. Price Changes

We may change prices at any time. For one time purchases, the price in effect at checkout applies to that purchase. For recurring plans, a price change applies to renewals after the change, and we will provide advance notice and obtain any consent required by law before the new price takes effect.

9. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at support@equiassist.com first so we can resolve it. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us, or for charges that are valid under this Policy, may result in suspension of your account. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks we believe are not valid.

10. Taxes

Prices shown at checkout are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any sales, use, or similar taxes associated with your purchase, which may be added at checkout.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the Effective Date, and we will provide additional notice where required by law. Changes apply prospectively to purchases and renewals made after the change takes effect.
