Help our DVMs service ambulatory calls as well as outpatient appointments
Assist veterinarians during examinations - including jogging horses during exams
Ensure a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and protocols
Handle animal catheterization when necessary
Assist with diagnostic tests, including standing CT, X-rays, endoscopy and blood draws
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
Maintain equipment
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices
- Ability to perform X-ray imaging
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Reliable and punctual
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with a strong commitment to their care
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
About Equine Innovative Medicine
Busy, privately-owned, two doctor equine veterinary practice seeking veterinary assistant. MUST have strong horse handling experience and the ability to handle horses of all ages and temperaments. Veterinary experience strongly preferred. Must live within 30 minutes of practice base in Snohomish. Pay DOE.
